Peer appraisal is a performance evaluation as an employee assessment method. It is a feedback system in which the co-workers of employees do evaluations as they are the closest while working in the company.

Many companies prefer peer appraisals to assess each other’s skills and patterns of working to know strengths and flaws. The peer appraisal method involves workers ranking on various areas of performance for each member of the group.
