A Product Vision or a Product Vision Statement is basically the description of the overarching long-term mission of your product like what are the problems it is solving, for whom, and why this is the right time to develop it. A product vision overall gives your team a bigger perspective of what and why they are working on.
The statement should act as a reminder to all stakeholders involved in the development of a product (the product team, development, executive staff, marketing, and so on) about the common goal they’re striving to attain with this product.
Your vision statement should also include information on why you’re creating a product and what your company hopes to accomplish with it in the future. Google’s vision statement, for example, is to “give access to the world’s information in a single click.”
