ISO 9001 Certificate

What is an ISO 9001 Certificate?

ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard to specify the requirements of a quality management system. Different organizations and companies use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is an international agency composed of the national standards bodies of more than 160 countries added to the list of consideration. The current version followed by companies was released in September 2015.

Organizations should consider the following points as they begin preparing for an ISO 9001 quality management system certification:

  • The cost paid to the registrar for ISO 9001 registration, surveillance, and recertification audits.
  • The current level of performance review of the services and if they meet ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Amount of resources that the company will dedicate to this project for research, development, and implementation.
  • Amount of support that will be required from a consultant and the associated costs to be considered.
