Form 24Q

What is Form 24Q?

Form 24Q is a TDS return filed for tax deducted at source salary payments. Form 24Q is filed by an employer submitting details of the salary paid to the employees and tax deducted on salaries. It is filed quarterly. This form includes data on income and tax deductions.

Form 24Q consists of 2 annexures.

Annexure 1:

Annexure 1 includes details of employer, challan, and employees. It includes tax deducted and deposited in a quarter. Businesses have to submit Annexure 1 for all four quarters of the financial year.

Challan has details: Challan serial number, Challan date of deposition, The branch’s BSR code, The whole amount of the Challan, including TDS and interest, also as the employee’s PAN and name, also as the date of payment.

Annexure 2:

Annexure 2 contains the wage details of the employees. Annexure 2 has to be submitted in the last quarter of the financial year. This annexure lists all of the exclusions that the employee must seek.
