What is Medical reimbursement?

Medical reimbursement is an arrangement between employee and employer under which the employer reimburses a portion of the health expense of the employee. These health expenses are like hospitalization or medical bills incurred by the employee. 

The tax act allows up to 15,000/- Rs exemption on medical reimbursement paid by the employer.
